By creating an account on PieceJob, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
PieceJob is available to South African residents aged 18 and over. By using the platform you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in South Africa.
Job posters may post legitimate job opportunities and browse worker profiles. Job posters agree not to post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal job listings. Job posters agree to pay workers the agreed amount upon satisfactory completion of the job.
Workers must provide accurate information including a valid government-issued ID. Workers agree to complete jobs to the standard agreed with the job poster. Workers must not misrepresent their skills or experience. Workers are independent contractors and not employees of PieceJob.
All payment agreements are made directly between job posters and workers. PieceJob is not responsible for payment disputes, non-payment, or any financial loss. We strongly encourage all users to confirm payment through the platform. Payment disputes should be reported to us at support@piecejob.co.za.
Users may not use PieceJob to post illegal content, harass or threaten other users, share another user's personal information, circumvent the platform by taking communications off-platform to avoid accountability, create fake accounts or reviews, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
PieceJob verifies worker identities but cannot guarantee the conduct of any user. Always meet in a safe, accessible location. Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe at any point, leave the situation and report the incident to us immediately at safety@piecejob.co.za and to the South African Police Service (SAPS) on 10111.
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines. Attempting to manipulate ratings — including by incentivising positive reviews or threatening negative ones — will result in account suspension.
All content on PieceJob — including the platform design, logos, and software — is owned by PieceJob and protected by South African intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any platform content without written permission.
PieceJob is a marketplace platform and is not a party to any agreement between job posters and workers. We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from a job arranged through the platform. Use PieceJob at your own risk.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users. Users may delete their own accounts at any time by contacting support@piecejob.co.za.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of PieceJob after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes by email.
