Every worker uploads a government-issued SA ID document. We validate the ID number checksum and store documents securely. In the event of a serious incident, we cooperate fully with SAPS under the Criminal Procedure Act.
We are building a full biometric verification process in partnership with a leading South African identity verification provider. Once live, workers who complete this additional step will receive the Elite Trust badge — our highest level of trust on the platform.
Job posters can verify their ID number and ID document. Verified posters display a green badge on their listings, giving workers confidence before they arrive on site.

Any skilled domestic or light commercial work — painting, plumbing, electrical, tiling, carpentry, gardening, cleaning, building, paving, and more. If you are unsure, post it and see who bids.
Payment is currently handled directly between the poster and worker — cash, EFT or whatever you agree on. PieceJob records when both parties confirm payment is complete.
PieceJob keeps a full record of all messages and agreements on the platform. If a worker causes damage or a poster does not pay, the on-platform record can be used as evidence. For serious incidents, PieceJob cooperates with SAPS under the Criminal Procedure Act.
It is strongly recommended but not required to post bids. However, ID-verified workers appear with a verified badge and attract significantly more interest from job posters.
Yes — once you have completed a job with a worker, you can send them a private direct hire offer from your dashboard or from their profile. This skips the bidding process entirely.
